Product Description

Butylated hydroxyanisole (BHA), a white or slightly yellow crystalline substance, has a melting point of 48 - 63ºC, a boiling point of 264 - 270°C (98 KPa). At high concentrations, it has a slight phenolic odor and is soluble in ethanol (25g/100 mL, 25°C), propylene glycol and oils, but insoluble in water. BHA is heat-stable and is not easily destroyed under weak alkaline conditions. It does not change color when interacting with metal ions.
