Features

The number of ethoxy groups in the fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether molecule can be adjusted artificially during the synthesis process, so a series of nonionic surfactants with different properties and uses can be prepared. Fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ethers are the most important class of nonionic surfactants. The ether bond in the molecule is not easily destroyed by acid and alkali, so it has high stability, good water solubility, electrolyte resistance, easy biodegradation and small foam. In addition to being widely used in the textile printing and dyeing industry, it is also widely used to formulate low-foaming liquid detergents. [1]
Fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether has good compatibility with other surfactants. It is not sensitive to hard water and has good washing performance at low temperature, but its solubility will gradually decrease with the increase of water temperature. In the range of pH 3~11, fatty alcohol polyoxyethylene ether is hydrolytically stable. However, they also oxidize slowly in air, producing some oxidation products, such as acetaldehyde and hydroperoxides, which are more toxic to the skin than those surfactants that have not yet done so.

Purpose

1. Washing industry: As a non-ionic surfactant, it has the functions of emulsifying, foaming and decontamination. It is the main active ingredient of hand soap, laundry detergent, shower gel, washing powder, detergent and metal cleaning agent.
2. Textile printing and dyeing industry: As a textile printing and dyeing auxiliaries, it plays an emulsifying role, and is used as an emulsifying silicone oil, a penetrant, a leveling agent, and a polypropylene oil agent.
3. Paper industry: as deinking agent, blanket cleaning agent, and resin removal agent.
4. Others: pesticide emulsifier, crude oil demulsifier, lubricating oil emulsifier, etc.
