4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine (DHP), its tautomer is called 1-H-pyrimidine-4,6-dione. 4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine is usually used as a fine chemical raw material or organic synthesis intermediate, and is widely used in the preparation of medicines, pesticides and fungicides. For example, it can be used in the pharmaceutical industry to produce sulfonamides such as sulfamotocin, vitamin B4, anti-tumor drugs and auxiliary drugs; in addition, it can also be used as an intermediate for the synthesis of methoxyacrylate fungicides, etc. Melting point 338ºC (230ºC). Soluble in hot water, ammonia and other alkaline solutions, insoluble in alcohol and ether. This product may have several isomeric forms.
Used as an organic synthesis intermediate, in the pharmaceutical industry to produce sulfonamides such as sulfamotocin. 4,6-dihydroxypyrimidine is also an intermediate for vitamin B4, anti-tumor drugs and auxiliary drugs. It is used to produce drugs such as sulfamethoxazole.
