Potassium permonosulfate complex salt with the molecular formula 2KHSO5· KHSO4· K2SO4, abbreviated as PMS, PMPS or KMPS. It is a stable, convenient, excellent acid oxidant with a wide range of uses, its application fields involve oral cleaning, swimming pool and hot spring water disinfection, circuit board etching, pulp bleaching, wool fabric shrinkage treatment, precious metal refining, etc.; Potassium permonosulfate complex salt is an important additive in organic synthesis, which can epoxidize the double bonds in organic molecules, and is a free radical initiator for many polymerization reactions. In addition, potassium permonosulfate composite salt can be used as an oxidizing agent for sulfur-containing substances such as sulfur hydride in wastewater treatment, a low-temperature oxygen-based bleach in detergents, and an oxygen supply agent in aquaculture.
Water treatment

KHSO5 acts as the active ingredient to provide more efficient copper oxidation. Denture cleaner
PMS is a very effective non-chlorine oxidizing agent that has long been the main detergent ingredient in denture cleaning agent compositions. As a stable powder product, PMS is easy to formulate into granular and tablet compositions. In addition, it has strong oxidation properties to effectively control bacteria. It has excellent water solubility, easy rinsing, no peculiar smell. Faster action than other oxidants, which means shorter soaking times. Furthermore, PMS has excellent compatibility with denture materials, and GRAS oxidation by-product certification is recognized as safe.
Odor control
PMS is very effective in controlling harmful, pungent odors. PMS does not contain chlorine and does not require any chemical activation. It is therefore safer to use and store, with chemical stability in solution for up to 30 days (depending on storage conditions). PMS's high redox potential and fast reaction kinetics enable rapid reaction with volatile organic compounds (VOCs), including:
Hydrogen sulfide / organic sulfide / disulfide / mercaptan / organic amines / quinolines / aldehydes / ketones /synthetic fragrances
Swimming pool and spa water purification
The water in the swimming pool and spa needs to be clear and odor-free. PMS can be used as an oxidizing agent to keep water transparent by oxidizing organic pollutants such as sweat, urine, skin debris, etc. After oxidation, the pollutant particles are more likely to combine into larger particles, which are removed by pool filtration. The pungent smell in swimming pools is generally caused by chloramines. Chloramines are formed when chlorine is combined with ammonia or organic matter in water. Chloramines come in many forms, some of which migrate to the air to produce a strong taste of chlorine, while others remain in the water and can cause skin and eye irritation. Regular use of PMS products helps remove organic contaminants and chlorine before they react to form chloramines. Simply disperse the PMS product into the water body of the pool and let the water circulate for 15 minutes to achieve the effect of purifying the water body.
